You will be regularly reviewing the portfolio to identify all opportunities to repurpose, redevelop or dispose of assets which do not support service delivery and will progress projects through the appropriate internal governance procedures. You will be experienced in property acquisitions and disposals as well as capital refurbishment projects. You will oversee all transactional matters in the operational property portfolio, managing both your own high profile transactions and that of the team reporting into you. You will provide advice to a team of property asset managers who are also working on new lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, lease surrenders, dilapidations, and service charges. You will be responsible for ensuring the management and administration of service charge accounts has been completed and will be familiar with a variety of surveying disciplines including but not limited to valuation, business rates, planning and development. </p>\n<p><strong>Skills and experience needed:</strong></p>\n<p>You will need willingness and flexibility to participate in a range of projects and day to day activities. The post holder will build and maintain strong relationships with the team, other Council services, Councillors, tenants, and contractors/suppliers. You will have strong liaison with the Services to assist them in meeting their corporate objectives and be able to co-ordinate responses and correspondence with Councillors. You will hold an appropriate qualification and have experience in the likes of property management, Landlord & Tenant and valuation.
