If the answer to this questions is yes – then King Offa is the school for you.
\n\n
We are delighted to be able to offer you the chance to apply for this exciting role. We are a two-form entry school with a purpose built Nursery and Early Years building which welcomes children aged two and over. The main school is over one hundred years old and we are very proud of the history and heritage of King Offa. Whilst enjoying the charm and character of such a well-established school, we also always aim to be looking forwards and preparing our children for life in the twenty first century.
\n\n
We have developed our curriculum significantly in recent years and there is great potential to do even more. We use the Read, Write Inc. phonics (RWI) program right from a child’s first term in reception. We believe that children’s growth as a reader is key to helping them fully access learning into KS2 and beyond. With this in mind our ambitious aim is for all children to have completed the RWI program in year 2.
\n\n
We build on this strong start to reading by working in partnership with Hackney Learning Trust to deliver Daily Supported Reader for all pupils in KS1 and Destination Reader in KS2 as we believe it is vital that our children are instilled with a passion for reading and a strong desire to read for pleasure.
\n\n
King Offa is a school that can offer exceptional professional development opportunities, high levels of support and the chance to make a real difference to pupils’ outcomes. We work closely with other schools in our Trust and there are several opportunities to share ideas and learn from each other.
\n\n
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, innovative teacher for maternity cover to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.
\n\n
As part of our employment package our staff have access to the Aurora Advantage scheme which provides many benefits including an On Demand GP, access to wellbeing services, high street discounts and a Cycle to Work scheme.
\n\n
We would recommend a visit to the school where you will receive a very warm welcome. If the answer to this questions is yes – then King Offa is the school for you!
\n\n
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, innovative teacher to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.
\n\n
As part of our employment package our staff have access to the Aurora Advantage scheme which provides many benefits including an On Demand GP, access to wellbeing services, high street discounts and a Cycle to Work scheme.
\n\n
We would recommend a visit to the school where you will receive a very warm welcome. To arrange a visit, please contact the school.
\n\n
We would love to hear from you, so please follow this link to apply: https://auroraacademies.face-ed.co.uk/Vacancies/Detail?campaignRef=SCH-AAT-0140
\n
Additional information

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
\n\n
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
\n\n
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
\n\n
For further information about what is required in this process please go to www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check.
\n\n
All school based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children.
