The role will provide a comprehensive property service to the Council and will include property management, professional work (rent reviews, lease renewals and valuations including annual asset valuations), lettings, acquisitions, disposals and project work, including redevelopment and regeneration.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>It is an exciting time to join the team as the service is expanding, with recent acquisitions totalling over £24 million. The current portfolio is valued in excess of £100 million and there are a number of forthcoming major development and regeneration projects, including the recently announced Brookfield Riverside £400million development.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The duties of the role also include assisting in the management of the Council’s innovative and award-winning housing company, Badger BC Investments.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful post holder will be a qualified Chartered Surveyor, in order to provide support to the Property Services Manager and Senior Estate Surveyors. The successful candidate should ideally have experience of working for a Local Authority property section although this is not essential. A calm approach in a busy environment is required, as are intermediate ICT and Microsoft Office skills.
