Therefore, you'll need to be able to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload. <br><br> Typical projects for Finance Systems includes:<ul>\n<li> Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions. </li>\n<li> Budgeting and Forecasting: Supporting the council's budget monitoring systems to ensure BHs have the best tools available to forecast yearly expenditure. </li>\n<li> Compliance and Risk Management: Implementing systems that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage financial risks - examples include compliance with Audit requirements, as well as legislation such as PCI-DSS Compliance. </li>\n<li> Transaction Processing: Streamlining processes for transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. </li>\n<li> System Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly supporting the upgrade and maintenance of financial systems to ensure they remain efficient and secure. Leading on UAT. </li>\n<li> User Training and Support: Providing training and ongoing support to users to ensure they can effectively utilise financial systems, including ownerships of internal Intranet pages along with guidance and training material. </li>\n</ul><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential</strong><ul>\n<li> CCAB qualified or equivalent or have significant proven experience. </li>\n<li> Ability to make effective use of multiple data sources and to use available tools to carry out detailed financial analysis </li>\n<li> Ability to interpret, apply and explain financial policies, procedures and guidance. </li>\n<li> Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, creating trust and confidence and being able to persuade and negotiate as to the actions required. </li>\n<li> Experience in fully analysing and interpreting business needs in relation to proposed system changes impacting financial data. </li>\n<li> Experience working within and developing financial systems. </li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable</strong><ul>\n<li> Experience in SAP ECC6. </li>\n<li> Experience in local government. </li>\n</ul>We welcome applications from candidates who currently reside in the UK with established proof of right to work documentation.
