The overarching vision for Children’s Services is that we work in a ‘flexible and balanced’ way with a focus on ‘continuous improvement’; this is underpinned by a ‘mix and blend’ approach by adopting hybrid ways of working, balancing the need for collaborative workspaces with the right technology for staff to work from home and touchdown areas where this is right for you and for our families.</p>\n<h2 class=\"lumesse-section-header lumesse-section-header-2\">About the role</h2>\n<p>Each Team is made up of; a Team Manager, Consultant Social Worker(s), Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Children's Practitioners and Family Practitioners.<br><br>We are looking for experienced Social Workers to join one of the following teams:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Family Safeguarding</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>This role will include holding a small caseload of complex work and supports development into a management role in the future.<br><br>This will include conducting supervision meetings and supporting other members of the team and providing management cover in the Team Manager’s absence.</p>\n<h2 class=\"lumesse-section-header lumesse-section-header-3\">About you</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified and Social Work England Registered</li>\n<li>Experience of staff supervision and management</li>\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of the challenges associate with working with Children and their Families</li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of care proceedings and court experience</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Knowledge of legislation, guidance, policy, and procedures</li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft IT package</li>\n<li>Full UK Driving Licence</li>\n<li>Regular Access to a vehicle</li>\n</ul>\n<p>In addition to the above, below outlines team specific essential criteria:</p>\n<p><strong>Family Safeguarding:</strong></p>\n<p>The role will require you to support social workers, by assisting in court work which will include attending court, therefore a thorough knowledge of care proceedings and court experience is required. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This job role is within the Health and Social Care, level 12 job profile.
