Example of emergency incidents include large scale emergencies such as the pandemic, as well as shorter term such as in the event of a fire. </span></p> <p><span>The team lead on the Council’s planning, testing, exercising and response arrangements for emergency and business continuity incidents. This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a role with leadership responsibility.  The role will involve management and development of support teams brought together in response to an incident. </span></p> <p><span>You will be part of the Emergency Management & Business Continuity Team, and as such will be expected to join the on-call rota for responding to incidents. The role comes with full training and you will be supported by other members of the team to help you transition in to the role. </span></p> <p><span><strong>All About you</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span>The role will report to the Resilience and Public Security Manager.</span></p> <p><span>You will be expected to build and maintain relationships with many partners and stakeholders, internally and externally acting as a point of expertise.  The list below highlights some of those relationships.</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Borough Resilience Forum – this is made up of “category one and two” partners (such as the Police, NHS and London Fire Brigade)</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Emergency Planning and Business Continuity professionals across London (particularly from our neighbouring boroughs in the North Central);</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Other Council teams, and members of any support team brought together in response to a Crisis</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>The Director of Resilience, especially Directors on call (Duty Silver) as part of the duty rota</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Senior managers</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Camden Corporate Resilience Assurance Group (CRAG) – the steering group of Exec Directors and Directors responsible for overseeing Resilience arrangements in the Council</span></p> <p><span><strong>Technical knowledge and experience:</strong></span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Experience of working in Emergency Management/Business Continuity, ideally in a Local Authority or another Cat 1 responder</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act (2004)</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Technical knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (preferably with a professional qualification)</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Detailed knowledge of Camden Council, structure, services</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Understanding the role of the EMBC team.</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Ability to influence and engage effectively with senior decision makers from across the Council and partner agencies</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Understanding of Council services and the role they play in emergency incident and coordinate the Council response on the ground.  There are always two LALOs on call each duty week Friday 0900 – Friday 0900</span></p> <p><span>·       </span><span>Other staff from the Council who can make up a Crisis Support Team:</span></p> <p><span>o   </span><span>BECC Managers/Operatives (Borough Emergency Control Centre – a central team of people who help coordinate
