About the Role
The role is paramount to the delivery of the Council’s strategic corporate priorities. Working for us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for our residents, securing ‘Growth’ with new homes and regenerating the town centres, reducing inequality and offering value for money.
The Regeneration, Property and Planning Department are looking for a Technical Support Administrators to work within our Planning and Building Control Team. This is a permanent position working within the Building Control section. The role is to provide a high quality technical administrative support service.
About you:
- You will need experience of working within the building control department or similar experience.
- You will be dealing with registering building control application, processing initial notice applications and dealing with customer enquiries.
- You will also be dealing with email and telephone enquiries.
- You will be expected to use your own initiative to handle processes and to resolve problems based on experience and judgement.
- You will receive clear guidance but will perform your work tasks with minimal day to day supervision.
- You will also possess excellent communication, organisational, administration and IT skills. A knowledge of the APAS or other databases system would be an advantage
