We are not your average local authority Planning department. We are forward thinking, innovative, and a fun team. Every year the department processes and makes decisions on over 1,000 applications for planning permission, works to protected trees, advertisement applications and associated development proposals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Planning Technician. The role of a Planning Technician at Blaby District Council is wide ranging and rewarding. You will provide technical and administrative support to the Development Services Team, provide customer support and manage a small caseload of planning and other applications.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and motivated and must work well in a team, be organised and able to prioritise. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to provide high levels of customer service.
