The successful applicant will be involved in exciting flood mitigation projects at the forefront of environmental and climate change schemes. These range from wetland schemes, retrofit flood attenuation highway schemes, rain gardens, swales, detention basins, river restoration strategy works, building community flood resilience and introducing retrofit SuDS into housing estates. There will also be opportunity to be a part of the identifications of future schemes through flood studies and flood modelling in collaboration with a wide range of strategic partners. <br> <br>The applicant will also be involved in the planning process commenting on SuDS and drainage proposals in planning applications of all sizes as part of the LLFA's role as a statutory consultee within the planning process, considering flood zones, shaping the future flood resilience from housing growth. The applicant will be involved at the pre application, full application and planning condition stages, reviewing proposals and calculations from developers then responding to the information on behalf of the LLFA. <br> <br>The applicant will require a relevant degree and preferably some previous experience in this field.
