The Governors at Ticehurst and Flimwell Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Individual Needs Assistant to work in our friendly and supportive school, that could extend beyond the initial term.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the life of a child with a special educational need.
As a 1:1 you will work alongside the teacher and be responsible for supporting the child to access their learning, facilitate their independence as well as being responsible for their safety, wellbeing and growing confidence.
Main purpose of the role:
Working under guidance:
a) implement appropriate interventions for individuals/groups
b) be involved in preparing learning resources into an accessible format
c) support the mental health and wellbeing of a child (group of children) by delivering
planned enrichment learning opportunities.
We are looking for candidates that have experience of working with children, preferably in a school setting and in particular with children with social, emotional & mental health needs.
