1:1 Teaching Assistant Level 2 / Welfare Assistant

The Governors are looking to appoint a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support a child in Key Stage 1 with complex needs. The candidate will also be required to do a 30 minutes Welfare Assistant post every day.
The contracts are fixed term until 18.07.25 or until the child leaves the school, whichever is the earliest. The TA2 post is 27.5 hours per week and the Welfare Assistant post is 2.5 hours per week.
The candidate will:
- Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model
- Be aware of and respond appropriately to individual pupil needs ensuring effective interaction
- Provide specific support to pupils, dependent upon their individual needs ensuring their safety whilst supporting access to learning activities
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Promote self-esteem and independence
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance and direction of the teacher
- Be familiar with the school assessment policy
- Assist with the display of children’s work
- In liaison with the teacher, utilise strategies to support pupils learning
- Establish positive relationships with parents/carers
- Prepare and maintain resources required for the learning environment
