We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Marketing Officer who is interested in the theatre and the arts. If you’re enthusiastic about storytelling, engaging with audiences, data led and driven by results then how about joining Chelmsford Theatre’s fast paced marketing team.
The Marketing Officer plays an important role in the success of the marketing team by delivering impactful income generating marketing campaigns against challenging show and membership commercial targets.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating bespoke marketing plans to promote shows, achieve against targets and campaign metrics, drive visitors to the theatre café to increase secondary spend, as well as promote our outreach and community programmes. This means creating engaging and accessible digital content (posters, posts and videos) alongside paid Meta and online ads. You will need to be imaginative and innovative in your approach to tailoring campaigns to reach new and existing audiences across different communication channels while aligning to our theatre’s vision, personality and tone of voice. You’ll need to have experience in using websites, social media, email marketing and digital screens to deliver successful and creative marketing campaigns.
Data driven decision making is an important part of the role, so applicants need to be familiar with interpreting analytics and delivering segmentation strategies as you will be responsible for assessing how effective our campaigns are against corporate and theatre commercial and community objectives. In addition, you will need to create reports and presentations for meetings with recommendations for change and improvement.
You’ll need to be able to thrive in a collaborative environment, think on your feet and take initiative to adapt to sales data and new/emerging industry trends. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with a keen eye for design and attention to detail in creating copy and proof reading. Some evening and weekend work is required depending on planned events.
