We are surrounded by beautiful grounds and the school is well resourced. </span></p><p><span>You'll be working closely with the class teacher and teaching assistant supporting a Reception child, helping them flourish and preparing them for full time education.</span></p><p><span>We need someone who is: </span></p><ul>\n<li>Compassionate and caring with a good sense of fun. </li>\n<li>Patient and intuitive - understanding when to encourage pupil independence and when to step in and support learning.</li>\n<li>Able to maintain a consistent calm approach to behaviour management.</li>\n<li>Enjoys using creative play to stimulate learning.</li>\n<li>Happy to follow the lead of the teacher but able to recognise the unique needs of the child.</li>\n<li>Has an interest in speech and language.</li>\n<li>Happy to work on a 1:1 with the child but also with small groups.</li>\n<li>Able to follow advice from outside agencies and put it into practice in the classroom and in individual sessions. </li>\n<li>Able to engage warmly and confidently with parents. </li>\n</ul><p><span>Experience of working with children with additional needs would be useful, but showing a willingness to develop your knowledge and enthusiasm to work as part of our team will be viewed very positively.</span></p><p><span>The role is part time 18 hours increasing to 26 hours term time. Working hours will be 4 mornings 8:30 to 12:00 and 4 Hours MDSA.
