About the role
St Mary the Virgin CE Primary School is a small, thriving, friendly, village school, with a dedicated and enthusiastic staff and happy children. We have mixed-age classes for KS1 and KS2 with Reception on its own. Our latest Ofsted Report (March 2020) described us as ‘a small school with a very big heart!’ and the pupils describe it as ‘like one big family’. We are committed to providing a learning environment where all our children feel happy, valued, motivated, included and strive to do their best.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Administrative Support Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team, working 8.30am -11am to assist the School Secretary and Head of School undertake administrative duties in accordance with statutory and school requirements, including telephone cover, message service and processing identified tasks daily.
The candidate must be flexible, a good manager of time, able to keep good records and liaise with staff, parents and external agencies as appropriate. They will be working independently so will need to be adaptive and able to recognise and seek support if required. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and visiting professionals.
You will be working alongside the School Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support to the school.

While this is a fixed term contract, there is the potential for a more permanent post for the right candidate.
