About the role
Bonners CE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated School Secretary to work as part of a small team in our admin office from September 2025.
This role is for four days per week which are Monday, Tuesday Wednesday Thursday, from 8.15 am to 4.15 pm with half an hour for lunch, term time only.
Key Responsibilities
- Running the school office efficiently
- Providing full administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including handling confidential matters.
- Upholding and promoting the school’s ethos, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining the Single Central Record and processing DBS checks or verifying records
- Updating the school website
- Managing administrative tasks related to pupil data, including inputting and maintaining accurate records in Arbor
Main Duties
- Handling parental enquiries via telephone, email, and front desk
- Managing administrative tasks related to pupil data, including inputting and maintaining accurate records in Arbor
- Monitoring school attendance
- Submitting reports to ESCC
Confidential Administrative Support
- Handling correspondence
- Drafting and compiling confidential documents
- Providing administrative support to the Headteacher, SLT, and other staff for school events
IT & Systems Proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using Arbor (or willingness to learn a similar MIS system).

Working pattern: Part-time/Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 7 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
