Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team at Litherland High School.  Whilst experience is preferred what matters most to us is your commitment to supporting students and your eagerness to make a difference in their learning journey.  If you think you are the right fit please keep reading to find out how to apply.

The positions will be fixed term appointments, as it is subject to funding. 

The work will involve supporting pupils in lessons, delivering literacy and/or numeracy units to small groups of pupils outside normal lesson times, and intervention and support in relation to students with special educational needs.

You will need to work well in a team, and be an enthusiastic and committed individual who has the highest expectations to ensure our students achieve great outcomes. You will be part of a successful and dynamic team.  You must have an interest in working with students with special educational needs, and be willing to work with students either on a one to one basis or in a small group setting. Our recent Ofsted inspection (February 2024) evaluated our provision as ‘Good’ in all areas, and highlighted many strengths in our school including the behaviour and attitudes of our students.  We are oversubscribed and also benefit from a Primary School, that is part of our Multi Academy Trust, which has located on our site from June 2022.  This is a very exciting time to join our school as we continue our journey to become an outstanding school.
