Job introduction
About the role
Wivelsfield Primary School and Nursery has a vacancy for a part-time Teaching Assistant/SEN Assistant (4 days a week) to start as soon as possible.
Situated in the heart of Wivelsfield Green, near both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, the school is single form entry. It benefits from spacious modern premises, with extensive grounds, and is a very popular, oversubscribed school. We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming with a strong ‘community ethos'.
In the morning you will work to support children in a whole class setting. In the afternoon, you will work with children with additional needs supporting them both inside & outside the classroom including one afternoon of forest school. Job shares are welcome to apply as this role can be spilt into two: morning teaching assistant and afternoon SEN Assistant.
If you enjoy working with children in a happy environment, where no two days are the same, and would relish the fact that you can make a positive difference so the children you work with thrive both emotionally and with their learning, this could be the job for you.
The successful candidate will
- have a genuine passion for working to achieve the best outcomes for all children, including those with SEND
- be a flexible team player
- be committed to promoting high standards in all aspects of school life
- be keen to engage in continuing professional development
