The Eastbourne Academy is proud to offer ‘The Key’ which is a bespoke on-site alternative provision providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students who have faced challenges within mainstream education. Our vision is to develop a specialist multidisciplinary team to deliver a bespoke pupil centred programme based on the young person's needs to encourage prosocial behaviours. We would like to appoint candidates who are passionate about inclusion and who wish to become part of a team to build a community within The Eastbourne Academy, fostering a feeling of belonging and inclusivity for all pupils.
By utilising our school's core values; Curiosity, Ambition, Respect and Engagement, The Key will be at the heart of a range of support designed to unlock potential and empower these young individuals to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring bespoke pathways working towards successful reintegration into mainstream. .
Within The Key our curriculum embodies The Eastbourne Academy vision of providing outstanding education to every student. Delivered by specialist staff in small-group settings, the curriculum covers core subjects, with therapeutic interventions and cross curricular based projects whilst also offering students the flexibility to engage with optional subjects through online learning. This personalised approach promotes independent learning and aligns with our evidence-informed teaching practices, empowering students to develop their cognitive and social-emotional skills, preparing them for life beyond school.
