Grade C: £32,471 (National Framework) or £38,143 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home. For part-time roles – please note this will be pro rata.

Contracted Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week or Part-time 29.6 hours per week. Job-share will be considered. Talk to us about compressed hours.

Contract Type: 18-month Fixed-Term, Secondment opportunity. 

Location: Home or office based, flexible location. Hybrid working (working 2 days a week from home).

Would you like to support the development and delivery of our world leading Experts by Experience programme?

This year we are developing and procuring a new contract. We are recruiting a Senior Experts by Experience Officer to work as part of the Insight and Evaluation team to support the development and delivery of the Experts by Experience programme.

Our Experts by Experience programme involves the public in inspections and activities.

During inspections, Experts by Experience speak to people using services and their family or organisations that support them. They may also observe how the service is delivered and speak to staff. Their findings are used to support the inspectors’ judgments on services and may be included in inspection reports.

Experts by Experience also take part in our other activities, such as assisting in training inspectors and taking part in working groups.

This role will give you an opportunity to work on a fast-paced, high-value procurement, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to implement a new Experts by Experience contract for CQC.

The role will also provide experience in supporting the development and management of our national Public Engagement Network to provide engagement services with people from seldom heard communities, people with protected characteristics, and people made vulnerable by their circumstances. 

What you will bring…

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge and experience of working within the engagement and/or communications fields.

Experience of building relationships with external organisations, including the voluntary and community sector.

Experience of commissioning external organisations and agencies to deliver services.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including making information accessible to a wide range of audiences.

Experience of delivering contracts, involving a range of stakeholders and partners.
