The strategic purchasing, procurement and contract management team within the Council is transforming to provide a more effective and efficient service to internal stakeholders in delivering their business plans through externally sourced goods, works and services.
As part of the development of the team an additional role has become available for a Procurement Manager to join the team at a double award-winning, high-performing council with a growing economy, a thriving town centre and some truly impressive outcomes in our communities.
The successful candidate will need a passion for public sector procurement and would join a strong team to enhance the function to deliver its strategic aims to leverage the value of good procurement and contract management.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the public sector rules and best practice in relation to procurement and skills in working with others to look at innovative ways to develop and deliver new contracts which support delivery of a wide range of services and achieving best value.
