Knowsley Virtual School work with Cared for Children and Care Experienced People, their schools, carers and social worker to ensure that they are able to access good education provision to enable them to achieve.
In 2021 the remit of the Virtual School Head Teacher was widened to include the strategic overview of children with a social worker. Your role will be to work with the Virtual School Headteacher to develop strategies to raise levels of achievement and remove barriers to progress and engagement for vulnerable children in Knowsley.
You will have some line management responsibility within the Virtual School team, working together to improve the quality and impact of Personal Education Plans for children in care.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of inclusion in policy and practice, taking a lead role in working to reduce school suspensions and exclusions.
You will be confident in producing reports regarding the activity of the Virtual School and the outcomes of children in care and children with a social worker.
It is essential to hold a relevant qualification in education, youth, community, or health and social care, with evidence of continued professional development
Interviews will take place at Huyton Municipal building and are likely to take place week commencing 19 May 2025
