We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Hospital Discharge Countywide team, on a fixed term contract for 12-months. You will work with working age adults (18-70) and older adults (70+) and will be supported by a team that cares for you, just as much as it cares for our community.
You will support effective and timely hospital discharges across East Sussex covering all acute hospitals for people who have been admitted to hospital to seek treatment for their mental health. This is a new enterprise, you will work as part of a remote partnership team with Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust (SPFT) and the voluntary sector together with the Adult to identify safe, creative discharges, placing the Adult at the centre.
You will be collaborating closely with other stakeholders, working together to achieve the utmost discharge plans.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are a qualified Occupational Therapist and registered with the professional regulatory body
- Can build positive relationships with clients, family members and professionals.
- Is self-motivated
- Is able to meet travel requirements of the role
- Can show a commitment to training and personal development

- specialist training in partnership with Brighton University.
Hybrid working arrangements are applicable to the role this includes elements of office-based working, client visits and working from home.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
