This is an exciting opportunity for you to join us in championing change for children!
Working within a local authority provides a wealth of career development opportunities.
This is predominantly an office-based role. A key part of your role will be to coordinate the assessment of, write and review Education Health and Care Plans (EHC Plans). You will hold a caseload of children and young people with EHC Plans and visit schools to work with parents/carers, young people, schools and other key professionals to ensure good quality provision for children.
We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to gather and summarise complex information and write in a well-structured way that is easy to understand. This is a challenging but rewarding role and you will be well supported by colleagues and have access to high quality and ongoing CPD.
While a background in education, social care or special educational needs are advantageous, they are not essential.
East Sussex County Council are committed to offering excellent CPD for staff. Assessment and Planning Team is part of the wider Inclusion and Special Educational Needs & Disability Service (ISEND).
