In April 2023, Wyre Council appointed a new and ambitious Chief Executive to lead the council’s next chapter and a focus on a brand new and ambitious Council Plan.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Health and Safety Advisor working 22.2 hours per week to join the council with responsibility for ensuring we are fully compliant with legislation and there is adherence to the council’s health and safety policies across the organisation.
In addition, you’ll also drive our plans for staff wellbeing, working with colleagues across the council to deliver new initiatives that champion wellbeing through the workplace.

What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and implementing corporate arrangements for health and safety policies and procedures.
- Proving advice on the implementation and operational management of Health and Safety management systems.
- Develop and deliver a wellbeing programme for staff
What you’ll need:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- An excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communications skills
