Coventry City Council’s Children’s Services Horizon team are seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and highly skilled Children and Families Worker to deliver an outstanding service to children and their families.
We are looking to recruit an individual who is passionate, child centred, enthusiastic, quick thinking and confident in dealing with members of the public, professionals and agencies in order to triage referrals and gather information to enable an accurate initial threshold assessment to be made regarding the support that a child and their family may require.
This is a great opportunity to experience working in a busy, multi-agency environment that focuses on providing good quality advice and guidance to ensure that families receive appropriate support.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

You will believe in providing a high-quality service that ensures that the child is at the heart of everything we do. You will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a solution focussed way with families. You will be a good team player who is passionate about identifying appropriate interventions for children and families.
