About the team
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager/advanced or senior practitioner to join our business unit which plays a key role in safeguarding adults by supporting the multi-agency safeguarding arrangements in Hertfordshire. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised person, who can ensure consistent high levels of support within the business unit. You will join a friendly, dedicated, and inclusive team.
We are actively recruiting for a Business Manager to support the Safeguarding Boards Business Unit (Adults) based in Stevenage.

You will play a key role in ensuring that adults are effectively safeguarded by agencies in Hertfordshire by:
You will be working in a fast-paced stimulating environment that would draw on and build your organisational skills, your ability to prioritise workloads in a relatively fast paced changing environment.
Your previous experience working in a collaborative team is essential in this role as together the team will work towards achieving goals and objective.
You will be leading on certain workstreams, managing an active and busy administrator, working closely with colleagues and external partners and individuals within the community.

- Working with a wide variety of professionals across the different agencies in Hertfordshire who have responsibilities for safeguarding adults.
- Managing the workstreams of the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Adults Board.
- Managing and driving the work of the Board, sub-groups and safeguarding adults reviews under the Care Act 2014.
- Supporting the HSAB Independent Chair to ensure priorities are met.

- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and legislative knowledge of Care Act 2014.

- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Competent use of Microsoft IT packages.
- Previous recent experience of line managing staff.
- Previous recent experience of working in a collaborative team.
- Able to travel
- Basic financial knowledge.
- Worked within a similar environment
