In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and get involved in innovative projects which will lead to digital and service improvements.
- You will be AAT qualified or working towards a CCAB accountancy qualification (or qualified by experience)
- You will have experience of preparing management accounts, forecasts, budgets and final accounts, preferably in a local authority.
- You will need good interpersonal skills, experience of working with computerised financial information systems and excellent communication skills.
What will you be doing?
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly budget monitoring forecasts and annual budget setting.
- Assist with preparing grant claims and government returns.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Council’s annual accounts.
- Undertake a number of key reconciliations.
- Support the Principal Accountants and Financial Services Manager in other areas such as treasury management, collection fund accounting and system administration.
