Making A Difference as A Staying Close Support Worker
Are you ready to welcome a new challenge in a “BRAND NEW” purpose-built development, specifically for young people making a journey from a children’s home to independence. A staying close support worker is going to play a vital role in the development and in the promotion of independence to our care leavers. The young people will be living in “trainer flats”
You will be located on site and on hand to offer support and outreach to our young people who have reached an age where they can live independently and ready for learning new skills and gaining the experience of the adult world.
You will be required to work closely with partners from housing, education, health, community and families, this is a fantastic opportunity to start a service from new and to shape it in the way our children/young people need it to be.
You will form part of a new staff team, there will be plenty of opportunity to attend training and development, this will be an exciting journey for you and there will be plenty of scope for further development.
You will be supported by an experienced Registered Manager.
You will receive monthly supervisions and annual appraisals. The manager will be on hand to support you through your journey with us.
To be successful in this role you will need to be focused on working as a team on promoting independence. As corporate parents, you will be on hand for emotional support as well as an advice giver.
You will be required to work shifts on a rolling rota, the shift pattern is 2 on – 3 off. This role does NOT require sleep in's or waking nights. If this role is for you then we welcome your application.
