About the role
Are you looking to influence long term plans for development and change in East Sussex?
If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to work in the role of Local Plan Transport Advisor within the Transport Development Planning Team.
In this integral and high-profile role, you will liaise with local planning authorities to influence local plans to ensure that transport priorities are catered for suitably. You will maintain oversight for the County Council’s input into local plan evidence with respect to all transport modes, ensuring that robust and consistent advice is provided to local planning authorities.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience of working within the planning and/or transport planning sectors.
- Have an ability to manage people and resources.
- Have an ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with partner organisations.
- Have experience of adapting a service/a way of working as a result of policy and legislative change.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
