About the role
Cross in Hand is a happy and successful C of E Primary School in Heathfield, East Sussex. We have genuinely lovely children, supportive parents and a great team of staff.
We are looking for an Individual Needs Assistant to work 1:1 with a child to help them achieve their personal targets in order to be successful in a mainstream setting.
The successful candidate will;
- Preferably have experience in working with children with SEND although full training will be given.
- Be aspirational for the pupil's learning and development.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
Duties include:
- To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupils to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
- Support playground/break time/ lunch time supervision, accompany children on educational visits and be prepared to administer basic First Aid and record keeping.
We can offer flexibility with this role. Please indicate on your application form if you would prefer a role for whole days, mornings or afternoons. We take every effort to match an INA with the child; considering personality, skills and experiences.

Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
