About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to building a borough where everyone can thrive, and our regeneration projects are central to achieving this vision. As a Development Manager, you will play a key role in delivering impactful regeneration projects, ensuring innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity across our work.
How You’ll Be Involved
This position offers an exciting opportunity to assist with work on the Agar Grove redevelopment project, currently in phase 4 of a 6-phase scheme. In addition, you will focus on key workstreams identified in Camden’s Community Investment Programme (CIP) Improvement Plan. This involves improving strategies and procedures across projects to create a cohesive approach to delivering regeneration initiatives.
You will work closely with the lead Senior Development Manager on critical areas, including the procurement and management of a consultant team to review and update the CIP Design Guide, Employer’s Requirements, and consultant scopes of service. Other responsibilities include developing a revised asset data collection process, integrating solutions for non-residential asset handovers, and ensuring Building Safety Act requirements are incorporated into all strategies.
The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and departments to ensure successful project handovers and alignment with Camden’s wider objectives, including climate action, inclusivity, and delivering high-quality, affordable housing.
All About You
You are a skilled project manager with experience in large regeneration and development projects. Your expertise includes areas such as town planning, sustainability, and high-quality design. With strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships, you can work collaboratively with consultants, stakeholders, and local communities.
A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, alongside advanced project management skills and a working knowledge of UK planning and construction regulations. Familiarity with development appraisal software or BIM processes is desirable but not essential.
