With a high level of technical expertise gained in a functionally diverse organisation, collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is your proven ability to influence change and develop practical and cost-effective solutions.</p><p>A commitment to supporting the council’s emergency planning and response to incidents is also required, and you will be expected to play an active role when incidents occur, as well as in planning, training and exercising.</p><p>You will be a confident and experienced professional, ideally holding a level 5 NEBOSH Safety Diploma or equivalent (and as a minimum a level 3 NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent) and with a commitment to your continuing professional development. Frequently required to prioritise demands upon your time, you will possess excellent time management skills.
