About the role

Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy a varied and active role?

The Modern Records team provide the records management service for East Sussex County Council. Our services are also used by schools, and a range of external customers.

  • checking record deposits and listing them onto our computer system
  • completing outgoing file requests in a timely fashion
  • meeting standards for Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Freedom of Information requests (FOI)
  • liaising with all ESCC departments, providing support and guidance when required

We are looking for candidates who:

  • have a ‘can-do’ and organised approach to their work
  • can provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • can accurately input and check computer data
  • have basic ICT knowledge including Outlook, Excel and SharePoint
  • are prepared to work at height and undertake mobile electronic work platform (MEWP) training.
  • are prepared to undertake first aid training
  • have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Interviews will take place in person at Alder close, Eastbourne, week commencing March 10, 2025. If you are unavailable on these dates let us know and we may be able to schedule an alternative date to interview you.

Working in our Records Centre gives you the unique opportunity to work with colleagues from right across the County Council whilst also ensuring all our crucial records are maintained, protected and well-managed.

We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on our benefits page.
