Media and Engagement Officer (BAME) - Full Time
Tower Hamlets Council’s Communications and Marketing Service is seeking to appoint a full time Media and Engagement Officers to specialise in connecting with our diverse communities.
Our award-winning Communications and Marketing service is at the heart of the council in the Chief Executive’s Office. We want exceptional people who can help us to tell our story and work with residents to improve lives in the UK’s most exciting borough.
Tower Hamlets offers the best of London in one borough. We are an incredibly diverse place, rich in history, opportunity and culture with the largest Bangladeshi population in the country. We are looking for media and engagement specialist who can help us to communicate with our diverse population through digital media and face to face engagement.
You will have experience of working in the media and engaging with the BAME/Bangladeshi community. You will know how to produce high-quality video news stories and digital content for local/BAME television, online media and the council’s digital channels. This includes story production and video editing with programmes such as Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects. You should be fluent in both Bengali and Sylheti.
