About the role
We are looking for a caretaker to join our welcoming and friendly village schools at Barcombe and Plumpton.
The role of a caretaker is fundamental to our schools and they are an important member of our team.
The work could be carried out in the morning or the afternoon. The contract is for 52 weeks a year less paid holiday. The responsibilities would include:
- Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds
- Carrying out handy-person activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment and minor repairs.
- Maintain the general school premises, furniture and fittings and reporting any issues.
- Maintain the security of the school premises as the main key holder.
- Lock and unlock the premises as required.
- Carry out regular checks of premises equipment.
- Carry out and record health and safety checks.
We would love to welcome you to our schools. All training and guidance will be provided for the successful candidate, including from another caretaker. No special skills are required.
This is a role with an East Sussex permanent contract which includes holiday pay and a pension.
