We have a fantastic opportunity in our team for a Digital Infrastructure Coordinator!
In this role you'll be a key contributor to the council's digital transformation, encouraging the take up of digital services as well as working with mobile network operators on improving both coverage and capacity in the County.
You'll be joining an established and successful team working to enable fixed and mobile communications, whist delivering new digital services for the businesses and residents of Staffordshire.
Main ResponsibilitiesWorking with the Head of Service you'll:
- Develop the County's mobile communications infrastructure strategy, attending internal meetings, meetings with Mobile Network Operators and industry working groups.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are briefed on the progress being made in the deployment of infrastructure (including where required Council and Senior Leadership meetings)
- Investigate and work with the telecommunications industry to understand and advise on likely future technology developments and enable as required to meet the strategic objectives of the council.
Given the seniority of the role, you will be expected to contribute to and lead elements of Staffordshire County Council's digital infrastructure strategic framework strategy.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be and all rounder and expected to flexible in their approach to digital transformation, with the the following attributes:
Qualifications:
- Educated to Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification in digital & telecommunications networks or have demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and experience:
- Experience of working collaboratively with a variety of agencies, operators, public and private sector organisations to achieve desired outcomes
- Experience of working within a customer / public interface and maintaining good internal / external stakeholder relations.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of the relationship dynamics between relevant providers, operators, their marketplace and the Local Authority
Skills:
- Ability to lead, undertake research, analyse and evaluate data and information from a variety of sources to provide insight in support of decision making.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to change to deliver results.
- Ability to work across functional and organisational boundaries
