An exciting opportunity has arisen to train as a Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician and gain a Level 3 apprenticeship.
The successful applicant is required to have a minimum of a grade 4/C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent). Previous knowledge is not required but we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person with a keen interest in motor vehicles.
The role is based at Freighter House, Chelmsford and the successful applicant will work within a team who maintain the Council’s vehicle fleet to the highest standard. The post holder will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Commercial vehicles and other equipment including items of plant. The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week which includes time off for study and training time at Harlow College.

Applicants must have passed their driving test and hold a full drivers licence category B [minimum] with the Council funding training an HGV/LGV drivers licence class 2 [category C].
