Stone Cross School is a popular two form entry primary school on the outskirts of Eastbourne, with a dedicated and committed staff who love to laugh! Our children love learning and we receive great support from our families.
Our school is modern with extensive outside facilities, two halls, well equipped classrooms, nurture rooms and an ICT suite.
We are looking to expand our senior leadership team and are excited about welcoming new members of staff to join us.
We are looking for Leaders of Learning who:
- Love working with children and who are willing to go the extra mile to help all children achieve their potential.
- Are outstanding classroom practitioners
- Have the ability to lead, manage and motivate others
- Have high expectations in all areas of school life and challenge those that are less than good
- Team players with a willingness to support others
- Have good communication skills who can engage with a range of stakeholders
- Are passionate about education, keep up to date with research and use it to inform their practice
Our Leaders of Learning will be full time class teachers with release time. Each Leader of Learning will be responsible for set year groups to focus on the quality of teaching and learning. Please state in your application your preferred year groups to lead.

There will be a two staged interview. Shortlisted candidates will be observed teaching in their own school. We will then short list again and interviews will be held on Wednesday 26th March.
