We are looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Child Employment and Entertainment Officer within Redbridge.  The post holder must ensure that our local authority meets its responsibilities under the Children and Young Person's Acts 1933 and 1963, s175 of the Education Act 2002, and the Children (Performances and Activities) Regulations 2014.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">Ensure employers, parents, children, and young people are aware of and comply with the laws and regulations governing child employment, entertainment, and Chaperone Licensing.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">Represent the local authority on all matters relating to child employment and entertainment.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">Follow policy, guidance, and procedures for all children in need, including those in need of protection and those looked after</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">Previous experience of working within a similar role is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of child employment laws, child entertainment and chaperone licensing is preferably.  You will need to be organised and can manage conflicting priorities. The ability to work efficiently and effectively. Travel within the borough to carry out inspection checks.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">Full supervision and training will be provided.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">We welcome full or part time/ job share applicants and encourage applications from anyone with relevant experience. About the role

Are you passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in employment and entertainment? We are looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Child Employment and Entertainment Officer within Redbridge.  The post holder must ensure that our local authority meets its responsibilities under the Children and Young Person's Acts 1933 and 1963, s175 of the Education Act 2002, and the Children (Performances and Activities) Regulations 2014.

Ensure employers, parents, children, and young people are aware of and comply with the laws and regulations governing child employment, entertainment, and Chaperone Licensing.

Represent the local authority on all matters relating to child employment and entertainment.

Follow policy, guidance, and procedures for all children in need, including those in need of protection and those looked after

Previous experience of working within a similar role is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of child employment laws, child entertainment and chaperone licensing is preferably.  You will need to be organised and can manage conflicting priorities. The ability to work efficiently and effectively. Travel within the borough to carry out inspection checks.

Full supervision and training will be provided.
