Wirral Hospitals’ School is a unique education provider which caters for students who are unable to attend mainstream education due to their medical needs. We offer a truly individualised educational experience to our students and seek to appoint an outstanding candidate who shares our vision for a flexible, individualised, student-centred approach to education.
The successful candidates will be expected to have:
A proven track record of teaching Geography to GCSE level
OR
Extensive teaching experience and a willingness and ability to utilise external support to retrain to teach Geography to all ability levels at GCSE level, up to grade 9.
A proven track record of helping students of all ability levels to fulfill their potential at GCSE.
Experience of supporting and/or directly leading colleagues to raise standards within your subject area.
An enthusiastic desire to take a leadership role within our unique educational establishment, which caters for students whose primary needs are associated with their wellbeing and both mental and physical health.
A passionate commitment towards raising standards of progress and attainment of all our students, regardless of barriers.
Excellent interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships across our school, including with pupils, colleagues, parents, governors and the wider school community.
Note: The ability to communicate effectively in the spoken language of English is an essential requirement for this role.
