Broad Heath is looking to recruit a practitioner passionate about pupils with SEND, to be an integral part in their personal, social and academic development. It is an exciting opportunity to join a school aspiring to provide the very best for all pupils.
Working alongside the school’s SENDCo and EYFS lead, the SEND HLTA will be a lead practitioner in a specially resourced room for 8 pupils with SEND. The children all range from reception to Year 1. The team consists of 4 staff members and there will be supervisory duties as part of the role.
This is a maternity post and requires the successful candidate to initially follow the provision in place, adapting it accordingly to suit the needs of the children.
Who are we looking for?An individual who:
- Has a developed knowledge of pupils with SEND (ASD, communication and language, physical)
- Is a qualified HLTA looking for an opportunity to expand their knowledge and lead a specially designed room
- Is able to plan an engaging, personalised and bespoke curriculum
- Is creative, positive and passionate
- Has strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
