Job introduction
About the role
The East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) acts as a forum for safeguarding partners to agree how to coordinate safeguarding services for children in East Sussex.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Subgroup has the lead role, on behalf of the Partnership, for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the work carried out by partners. It does this through regular scrutiny of multi-agency performance data and through an annual programme of thematic and regular case file audits.
The Independent Chair of the Quality Assurance (QA) Subgroup will provide independent and objective leadership to ensure robust scrutiny of multi-agency activity to safeguard children across East Sussex. The role will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of safeguarding arrangements, ensuring that agencies work collaboratively to protect and safeguard children and young people effectively.
The role will be accountable to the Lead Safeguarding Partners of the East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP).
The role will include attending a minimum of 4 meetings per year which will include half a day planning and half a day follow up. In addition to this, there will also include adhoc duties. There will likely be around 8-12 days per year.
Candidates are required to submit their CV with a supporting statement setting out their suitability against the person specification, how they satisfy the requirements and why they are interested in the role. For detailed information on this role, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification.
