What You’ll Be Doing
Join Camden's dynamic Legal Services team, where you’ll play a critical role in breaking down barriers while embracing a risk-aware approach. You'll engage with senior officers and Members to offer high-quality legal services, with a focus on social justice. Collaborate closely with various service directorates to ensure efficient delivery of Council priorities, all while managing a personal caseload that includes high-profile and complex cases. Become a trusted advisor, advocate, and problem solver as you contribute to Camden's vision of innovative, responsive legal solutions.

You will be qualified to practice in England and Wales as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
You should possess a robust understanding of local government law and have hands-on experience in preparing cases and drafting legal documents.
You should have excellent demonstrable detailed knowledge of employment law and procedure in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, Supreme Court, County Court and Court of Appeal and significant recent experience of effectively managing a busy caseload of employment litigation matters and advising on employment law, preferably in relation to local authorities and schools.
Your professional confidence will shine through as you lead on challenging cases and provide high-level advice. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, you’re ready to engage with our clients and stakeholders.
