About the role
Netherfield CEP School is a welcoming and nurturing school at the heart of the community in the small East Sussex village of Netherfield. An opening has arisen for an Individual Needs Assistant to join the team, supporting a KS2 pupil.
The successful candidate will join a well-established, highly committed team of staff and children, working in an inspirational and vibrant environment.
Previous experience of supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and medical needs is a significant advantage.
The role is for a total of 27.5 hours per week, working 8:45am to 3:15pm (1 hour break)
Candidates will:
- be talented, dynamic and will challenge and motivate the child to get the very best meaningful outcomes.
- provide learning activities for the individual child and groups of pupils under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher, including delivering bespoke interventions, differentiating and adapting learning programmes to suit the needs of the child.
- have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work collaboratively within a team.

Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
