About the role
Are you passionate about working with children’s language and communication? Would you like a new challenge? We have a new role available for a specialist teacher to join our team working alongside our therapists and assistants.
The post-holder will be part of our single point of access team, providing assessment and supporting schools to deliver therapy programmes and advice for children with language and communication needs and building on our existing training offer.
You will have experience of working with children with language and communication needs in schools, have a secure understanding of effective approaches to support these needs and be able to evidence this through CPD.
Flexible working, part-time hours and job share applications considered.
In choosing to work here you will become part of a highly successful integrated therapy service in an Outstanding Trust with a strong commitment to training and development and robust supervision and shadowing opportunities.
Main duties of the job

- support schools to develop bespoke communication programmes for individual children
- provide assessment and reports within the scope of their professional qualification

- use their transferable knowledge to support schools to integrate language and communication work into the child's education
- influence effective delivery of school-based approaches for speech, language and communication support in schools
- be involved in some day to day planning
