An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and customer focused individual to join the Council’s high performing Finance team, supporting the Children, Lifelong Learning and Families Department in a part-time role.
The main role of this post will be:
- To manage the process of funding transfers in respect of pupils with SEN from other local authority areas who are attending LBM schools, and vice versa.
- To work with schools to assist in the preparation, analysis and monitoring of budgets associated with income related to pupils from other local authority areas.
- To analyse and present financial information to assist decision-making, and for the purposes of financial accounting, grant claims, government returns, etc.
The post would be well suited to an individual who is AAT qualified or has completed stage 1 of a professional accountancy qualification. To succeed in the role, you should be a team player with the ability to prioritise.
