We teach a broad and balanced curriculum which enables our pupils to become literate and numerate with high levels of spoken, investigative and problem solving skills, together with a balanced view of the World.</p>\n<p>This is underpinned by the promotion of our core values of honesty, responsibility, trust, respect, enjoyment and a positive attitude to competition and good manners. We are offering the chance to work with a supportive team with a strong ethos of collective responsibility. The school is set in large spacious grounds and our pupils are hard-working and excellently behaved.</p>\n<p>Our Early Years and Foundation stage is crucial to our pupils making the best start possible for their educational journeys. We are looking for a qualified teacher with experience teaching in Nursery to join our team as part of a job share. This is for 3 full days (most likely Wednesday to Friday). We will consider an ECT if they have received some Early Years’ experience as part of their training or previous career.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties</strong></p>\n<p>Teaching and Learning</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out teaching duties as required and in accordance with the school’s schemes of work including the EYFS guidelines.</li>\n<li>Liaise with colleagues to deliver units of work in a collaborative way.</li>\n<li>Direct the work of the Nursery Team.</li>\n<li>Work with TLR team when required.</li>\n<li>Teach according to the educational needs of the pupils assigned to him/her, including setting and marking work considered desirable for the good performance of the pupils in terms of academic and social development.</li>\n<li>Seek to motivate, support and stretch pupils to achieve their full potential.</li>\n<li>Set targets for pupil attainment levels.</li>\n<li>Set work for pupils absent from school.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate exemplary classroom practice.</li>\n<li>Expand one’s knowledge, understanding and skills by keeping up to date with recent education initiatives and literature.</li>\n<li>Monitor the condition and safe use of classroom equipment and facilities.</li>\n<li>Follow standard, ‘whole school’ agreed policies.</li>\n<li>Work with parents to enable them to understand the teaching programme, pupil assessment and how to help their children progress.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Pupil Progress</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor pupil review processes and procedures in the EYFS to monitor the progress of individual pupils.</li>\n<li>Meet regularly with the Assistant Head/Early Year Leader to discuss pupils whose academic progress is of concern.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Standards and Quality Assurance</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the aims and ethos of the school.</li>\n<li>Set an example of professional conduct and personal commitment to the education and welfare of the children in the school which can be followed by colleagues and appreciated by parents.</li>\n<li>Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.</li>\n<li>Attend and participate in presentations for parents and pupil performances/productions.</li>\n<li>Uphold the school’s code of conduct and uniform regulations.</li>\n<li>Attend team and staff meetings.</li>\n<li>Assist staff in meeting professional targets through observation and appraisal.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>More information about the school can be found on our website <a href=\"{{SIGN-IN-REQUIRED}}\">www.yardleyprimary.co.uk</a></p>\n<p>Successful applicants will have an enhanced Criminal Record Check via DBS.
