Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional looking to make a significant impact on the economic growth of Staffordshire?
The Investment team oversee a broad range of economic activities, and in this you post will be responsible for ensuring that advice and support is provided to businesses to make Staffordshire their first choice of location. You will work closely with economic development colleagues in Staffordshire County Council and other organisations across the county.
The post will be based in Staffordshire Place 1 in the centre of Stafford, but the County Council uses smart flexible working which includes home and agile working. The post is a permanent full-time position based on a Monday to Friday working pattern.
Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role you'll:
- Promote Staffordshire as the premier location for businesses.
- Build and nurture relationships with key businesses to support their growth and success.
- Raise the profile of Staffordshire businesses on regional and national platforms.
- Champion local businesses to help them secure new opportunities.
- Collaborate with property agents and developers to facilitate business relocations.
- Proactively understand customer needs and tailor services accordingly.
- Work with team members on strategic priorities within the Investment Service.
- Showcase the benefits of Staffordshire's investment opportunities.
You'll have:
- Substantial experience in inward investment services and handling business investment enquiries.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven track record of working with businesses.
- Strong background in economic development with knowledge of industrial and commercial property.
- Flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to empower and inspire others.
