The service is looking to recruit a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding Coordinator to support us to meet our statutory obligations. We offer a hybrid working style, successfully combining office and home working.<br><br>The post requires you to show that you have attention to detail to support the governance of legal timescales and scrutiny of statutory forms to uphold quality of practice under a legal framework. There is high activity within the team so you will need to be able to work effectively to meet the high demand within the statutory timescale.  <br><br>The coordinator plays a key part: </p><ul>\n<li>to coordinate the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards process for each service-user, including maintaining an effective overview. </li>\n<li>be the first point of contact, receive and screen incoming referrals according to operational procedures and ensure they are processed in a timely manner. </li>\n<li>provide advice and guidance to partner agencies and Adult Social Care colleagues, seeking support from Best Interests Assessors / Supervisor as appropriate. </li>\n<li>provide initial screening and quality assurance of reports submitted by Best Interests Assessors and Section 12 approved Doctors.</li>\n</ul><p>We are looking for candidates who can:</p><ul>\n<li>quality assure referrals to ensure that information provided is accurate and relevant. </li>\n<li>negotiate with senior members of staff. </li>\n<li>use IT systems including the basic functions of the Microsoft Office suite i.e., word, excel and outlook. </li>\n<li>develop partnership working relationships and achieve positive outcomes.</li>\n<li>work positively and flexibly within a team environment, developing, and implementing proposals for change.</li>\n<li>interpret, analyse, organise complex information clearly, written and verbal.</li>\n</ul><p>For more information regarding the ideal candidate criteria please refer to the job description with person specification which is available to download. </p><p><a href=\"{{SIGN-IN-REQUIRED}}\"><strong><img src=\"https://new.eastsussex.gov.uk/media/f31k3n5r/kim-ad-1080x1690.jpg\" alt=\"kim-ad-1080x1690.jpg\"></strong></a> </p><p>To apply select the ‘Apply now’ button and upload your CV with a covering letter explaining how you meet the job specification criteria.
