Senior Commissioning Manager

In your role as Senior Commissioning Manager, you will lead the way in ensuring that Barnsley has a vibrant care market including residential and nursing care, home care, extra care and day opportunities. Working with a range of providers across the borough you will shape the market to respond to current and future demand and address key areas of development in areas such as workforce, digital and quality, supporting our care providers to be the best version of themselves and ensuring that people in Barnsley get the best outcomes.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence having delivered large programmes of work to deliver improvements and show an understanding of the way both the council and health partners work to ensure that service provision meets the needs of its population. Educated to degree level the successful candidate should also demonstrate an understanding of population needs and how these are likely to change in the future.
